I mentioned in my previous post as to how Google traffic dropped to Inficone in late June. This was very surprising and disappointing as I get majority of my traffic from search engines. I remained patient since I was not able to co-relate this drop with the May update by Google since the drop happened only in late June. I was hoping that this is indeed a temporary drop and the traffic would recover back. Holidays in some part of the world OR temporary glitch in search results were my probable explanations for the problem.
Fortunately, I have started seeing an upward trends, the first signs of which I was able to see on Friday, 9th July 2010. I saw an increase in traffic and some keywords and posts which used to get good hits earlier were seen back in reckoning. The traffic has slowly and steadily increased over the last two weeks and now I feel that it is more or less up to the same previous levels. Further, I am getting hits even for long tail keywords and hence does not really look to be a problem related to May update. The following graph as provided by the Google Analyticator plugin shows the recovery after a drop in traffic.
Hopefully this pattern would sustain itself from here on and remain fine. I will update in case there is any different behavior seen.
