Images are an integral part of any content that you produce on your blog. The downside is that it is hard to find contextual images that would do justice to the associated content. Even if you find an image, there is always a question of whether that very image can be used on your blog without any license/copyright constraints. Finding royalty free photographs for your blog posting is a challenge that every modern blogger faces.
If you have your blog hosted on wordpress, than one plugin which is invaluable for getting free creative common images easily in to your blog posts is Photo Dropper.

It essentially enables you to easily get flickr images (that are licensed for shared use) in your blog posts in matter of a click from your wordpress dashboard. The only small thing that you need to take care is to choose ““Show only photos that can be used commercially” option in the plugin so that if you are using the blog for commercial purposes, you are good to go.

The Photo Dropper icon would appear in your wordpress editor as the last icon eg in the above snapshot in the row above the text box( Upload/Insert ). All you need to do for getting a picture is to click on that icon and enter the keyword eg nature in the box provided. You would get multiple results and have to choose the one you like. You would have the option of inserting a large, medium or small version of that picture in your blog. The photo would appear along with the due credit to its owner ( notice the credit just below the above picture).
What is Creative Commons?
Creative Commons is an organization that enables legal sharing of data and provides standardized way of defining the rights associated with the digital content. You should also checkout the flickr creative common licenses.
I would strongly recommend you to install Photo Dropper and give it a try. It surely will make your life easy. If you liked the post, do share it with your friends using the floating icons on your left. You can always submit useful web services and tips to us.
