Fixed Deposit Maturity Amount Calculator In WordPress

For a while, I have been wanting to do an experiment to create a form based calculator in a wordpress post. As part of this experiment, I chose to create a calculator that helps compute FD amount interest taking input as the following parameters

  • Amount to be invested
  • Rate Of Interest (%)
  • Tenure ( Years/Days/Months )
  • Compounding frequency (Yearly/Half Yearly/Quarterly)

Once all the values are entered, the calculator uses javascript to compute the maturity amount and shows it up on the screen. Note that this is not a complex computation. More than the nature of calculator, idea was to do a proof of concept from within a wordpress post!

Try this calculator and provide feedback in the comments section. I hope you find it useful.
